How to wash and dry with MilliWash Polymer Wash & Wax
CeraSlick Polymer Wash & Wax: full step-by-step washing technique for Gloss and Matte finishes.
Correct dosing: 1 mL of concentrate per US gallon of water = 4 full strokes of a calibrated 0.25 mL pump, or 1 full 0.25 mL pump per 32 oz of water. For best results use RO or DI water. Prepare all sprayers, buckets and towels before washing. The optional dwell pre-spray is separate from panel-by-panel spray-to-runoff immediately before microfiber contact.
Polymer Wash & Wax — Current Wash Method
Prepare wash bucket, 32 oz handheld sprayer, separate plain-water bucket and hose before washing. Hose pre-rinse and final rinse are required.
- 1. Prepare everything before washing. Set up the garden hose. For a lighter-soil bucket wash, mix 3 gallons of Polymer Wash solution (12 × 0.25 mL pumps). For heavier soil, use multiple clean microfiber towels and up to 5 gallons of mixed solution (20 pumps), retiring soiled towels instead of re-dipping them into the clean wash bucket. For a small car or limited-area wash, 2 gallons (8 × 0.25 mL pumps) may suffice when clean solution remains available. Fill a 32 oz handheld spray bottle from the same wash mix, or dose 1 pump per 32 oz. Prepare a separate bucket of approximately 2 gallons of plain water for the finishing towel. Set out clean first-contact microfiber towels, a separate plain-water-dampened microfiber towel, and a third completely dry towel.
- 2. Garden-hose pre-rinse. Flush loose mud, grit and sand away before microfiber touches the finish.
- 3. Optional bird-dropping and spot treatment. Soak stubborn spots using the diluted Polymer Wash mix, letting them soften without scrubbing.
- 4. Optional additional wet dwell pre-spray for heavily soiled areas. Pre-soak any dirtier areas with diluted Polymer Wash solution and allow a brief wet dwell without letting it dry. This is separate from the working-panel spray.
- 5. Required pre-contact 32 oz spray-to-runoff and walk-around. Walk around the vehicle and pre-wet with correctly diluted Polymer Wash solution. Then, immediately before contact, refresh each working panel to visible runoff, carrying loosened debris away.
- 6. First contact — dripping-wet microfiber. Wash with a folded towel saturated in the diluted bucket solution, using gentle straight strokes, vertical on side panels. Use clean towel faces and retire soiled towels.
- 7. Second contact / soil verification if necessary. If visible soil remains, make a gentle second wash pass using a fresh clean solution-saturated towel face. Do not rub gritty contamination.
- 8. Thorough garden-hose final rinse. Rinse away all contact-wash solution after the wash. This final water rinse is a required difference from Waterless and Rinseless.
- 9. Plain-water-dampened second finishing pass. From the separate clean bucket of plain water, take a different microfiber towel and wring it until damp. Gently collect most remaining rinse water panel by panel; rinse and wring between panels and replace contaminated towel/water.
- 10. Final dry — separate clean microfiber. Immediately dry each panel with a separate completely dry microfiber towel to absorb remaining droplets and level the finish. For matte paint, do not gloss-buff.

Finishing towels: For Waterless and Rinseless, the second contact is made with a different clean microfiber dampened with the corresponding diluted wash solution; follow immediately with a separate completely dry microfiber. Polymer Wash uses a separate plain-water-dampened towel after the hose final rinse, then a dry towel. Select Gloss or Matte for the finish being washed; do not try to create shine on matte finishes.
Work on cool panels, keep solution wet, use multiple fresh towel faces, remove grit before contact and never scrub stubborn deposits. No contact wash guarantees zero marring.
